Gard & Rock is an online consumer goods retailer with a physical warehouse at 91-93 Stanley Road Ingleburn 2565 NSW Australia. We are aware of the importance of protecting your personal information and are committed to keeping it safe. This includes (but is not limited to) your name, postal address, email address, phone numbers and billing information. Please note that we do not store credit card information – this is processed through a 3rd Party Credit Card Merchant, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia, or PayPal.

Where you do not wish to provide your information, we may not be able to help with requested goods or services (eg, send you a quote if you do not give an address).

We only process personal information for purposes considered relevant and reasonable to your order. Gard & Rock Australia only collects information that is necessary for the purposes as described in this Privacy Policy, or other purposes specifically communicated to you.

We further protect personal information by restricting access to personal information to only those who need access to do their job.  Physical, electronic and managerial procedures have been employed to safeguard the security and integrity of your personal information. We do not collect sensitive information.

Online purchases are conducted using secure 256 bit Encryption of sensitive credit card information.  We use a 3rd Party, being either our Credit Card Merchant, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia or, PayPal to process online transactions and do not record your credit card details.

When taking orders over the telephone you may provide us with a credit card number in order to complete your purchase. After the transaction is complete we destroy the record of the credit card number by shredding.

  1. Computer Tracking and Cookies

Our Website is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered by visitors. However, our site may log certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our sites. This information is used for internal purposes by technical support staff to provide better services to the public and may also be provided to others.

  1. Accessing and correcting your personal information

You may contact us to request access to the personal information that we hold about you and/or to make corrections to that information, at any time.  On the rare occasions when we refuse access, we will provide you with a written notice stating our reasons for refusing access.  We may seek to recover from you reasonable costs incurred for providing you with access to any of the personal information about you held by us.

Gard & Rock Australia is not obliged to correct any of your personal information if it does not agree that it requires correction and may refuse to do so.  If we refuse a correction request, we will provide you with a written notice stating our reasons for refusing.
